90 Day Standard Warranty
Most parts purchased from Martin’s Salvage come with a standard 90-day part-only warranty. Warranties begin on the date of purchase. This warranty covers the replacement of the part but does not include labor costs. In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your part. We want to be able to correct the problem as quickly as possible. Please note the warranty requirements below.

SILVER WARRANTY
One-Year Part Only Warranty
If the covered part fails within one(1)
year, we will provide a replacement at no cost. Labor and installation costs are not
covered. We reserve the right to offer a replacement part or a refund. Warranties are nontransferrable. Please note the warranty requirements below.
GOLD WARRANTY
One-Year Part & Labor Warranty(one time payout). Unlimited
mileage. If the covered part fails within one(1) year, we will provide a replacement at no cost.
Labor costs on qualified repairs will be paid up to $75 per hour at Mitchell R&R book
time, not to exceed maximum payout of $1000. Warranties are non-transferrable. Please note the warranty requirements below.
PLATINUM WARRANTY
Three-Year Part & Labor Warranty(one time payout). Unlimited
mileage. If the covered part fails within three(3) years, we will provide a replacement at no cost.
Labor costs on qualified repairs will be paid up to $100 per hour at Mitchell R&R book
time, not to exceed maximum payout of $1500. Warranties are non-transferrable. Please note the warranty requirements below.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Engine Installation Checklist:
Pre-Installation:
- The engine must be installed within 30 days from the date of delivery.
- Rotate the engine crankshaft CLOCKWISE at least two full 360° turns (720°) before installation.
- Inspect all gaskets and seals; replace if necessary.
- For timing belt engines with over 30,000 miles, timing belts, tensioners, and components (Complete timing belt kit) must be replaced. Timing chains do not require replacement.
- For Kia or Ford Focus (SOHC) engines, a new complete timing belt kit and water pump are required.
During Installation:
- Install new components: water pump, thermostat, rear main seal, belts (power steering, alternator, fan), hoses (radiator, etc.), air filter, fuel filter, and properly gapped spark plugs.
- Change engine oil and replace the oil filter.
- Add new antifreeze/coolant. While not required, we highly recommend purchasing a new radiator or having the existing one professionally serviced (back flushed, flow tested, leak tested, and cleaned) to ensure optimal performance.
Post-Installation:
- Repeat oil and filter change after 500 miles of driving.
- Change oil at intervals recommended by the vehicle manufacturer or at least every 3,500 miles.

Automatic Transmissions:
- Replace with new parts: front pump seal, output shaft seal(s), pan gasket, and filter (if applicable; if no filter exists, thoroughly clean the screen).
- Replace or flush the cooler and lines following the vehicle manufacturer's guidelines and any applicable Technical Service Bulletins.
- Fill the transmission/transaxle to the proper level using the correct fluids as specified by the vehicle manufacturer (e.g., Honda vehicles require Honda fluid, Toyota vehicles require Toyota fluid, etc.).
- Reset computer codes.
- Adjust shifter mechanisms.
Manual Transmissions:
- Replace the following with new parts: external seals, clutch, pressure plate, and release bearing.
Post Installation:
- Change transmission fluid at intervals recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Retain all receipts and invoices for these services.
Additional Component Warranties:
- TRANSFER CASES: Guaranteed to function properly at the time of purchase. Replace seals and cover gasket with new parts where applicable.
- RADIATORS AND CONDENSERS: Guaranteed not to leak at the time of purchase.
- REAR AXLE ASSEMBLIES: Guaranteed to function properly at the time of purchase. Gears are guaranteed to be in good condition and bearings are guaranteed to be without noise at the time of purchase. Inspect seals for leakage, replace if necessary.
- STARTERS AND ALTERNATORS: Guaranteed to work at the time of purchase. Ensure the vehicle's battery is fully charged. We are not responsible for improper installation, faulty voltage regulators, or poor electrical connections.
- A/C COMPRESSORS: Must install a new receiver dryer, orifice tube, and the manufacturerrecommended amount of oil.
Invoice(s) and related paperwork for these items must be provided in the event of a warranty claim.
Warranty Limitations and Exclusions:
THE WARRANTY IS VOID IF:
- The engine has been rotated counterclockwise.
- The vehicle is converted from private passenger use to commercial or fleet use, or is used for racing, competition, or off-road recreational purposes.
- Failure is caused by abuse, misuse, modifications, or use of the part for purposes other than those intended by the manufacturer.
- The part fails or becomes defective due to the vehicle's involvement in a collision.
- The part is installed or operated outside the United States.
- The installed heat tab center is melted or removed.
- The part is sold "AS IS" as indicated on the invoice or website terms.
- All replacements, parts, and repairs must be approved by Martin's Salvage before any work is performed. Unauthorized work will void the warranty.
- Engine warranties cover the long block and its internal lubricated parts only. Bolt-on accessories (e.g., belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds, switches, wiring, sensors) are not guaranteed.
- Transmission warranties cover slippage, shifting failures, and bearing noise. They do not cover pump breakage resulting from improper installation of the torque converter.
- Axles, carriers, and transfer cases require inspection and replacement of seals prior to installation. The warranty does not cover seals or brake parts.
- For all-wheel-drive applications, all mounted tires must be the same size, made by the same manufacturer, and have a tread depth within 3/32 of each other. Failure to meet these conditions voids the warranty
- All ECMs, BCMs, and similar computer units are sold "AS IS" with no warranty and no returns.
Labor Warranties:
- GOLD WARRANTY: One-Year Part & Labor Warranty(1 time payout). Unlimited mileage. If the covered part fails within 1 year, we will provide a replacement at no cost. Labor payout is limited to the applicable hours scheduled for the work performed as published in the Mitchell Repair Manual or All Data labor specifications, at the rate of $75 per hour, not to exceed maximum total payout of $1000. Warranties are nontransferrable.
- PLATINUM WARRANTY: 3-Year Part & Labor Warranty(1 time payout). Unlimited mileage. If the covered part fails within 3 years, we will provide a replacement at no cost. Labor payout is limited to the applicable hours scheduled for the work performed as published in the Mitchell Repair Manual or All Data labor specifications, at the rate of $100 per hour, not to exceed maximum total payout of $1500. Warranties are nontransferrable.
Limited Liability:
- Martin's Salvage is not responsible for improper installation or usage after the time of purchase.
- We are not liable for consequential damages resulting from the sale of parts, including but not limited to labor charges, loss of income, wages, salary, or car rental charges.
- The buyer's sole remedy is a return of the purchase price or an exchange of a replacement part.
Refund and Exchange Policy:
- Parts may be returned for a refund or exchange within 30 days from the delivery date, provided they have not been installed and are returned in the same condition as provided. Freight charges are non-refundable.
- A restocking/handling fee of 25% (not to exceed $300) applies to all returned parts.
